Waterloo Shrine Oriental Band

A unit of Mocha Shriners

Waterloo Shrine Oriental Band

The Waterloo Shrine Oriental Band has been a long-standing fixture in Waterloo.  We are one of the most recognized and well known uniformed units of the Shrine.

The Band has been parading since 1983 at Mocha Shrine Ceremonials, Home Comings, local Fairs, Santa Claus parades and other events.  Our colourful costumes are unique to the Waterloo Shrine Oriental Band from among the hundreds of Shrine Bands in North America.

Our members are very active participants of the Mocha Shriners.  We were the official 2010 Ceremonial Team, initiating all new candidates into our fraternity.  Our unique flair for the dramatic is in everything that we do!  No ceremony or parade is complete without hearing us perform our "Arabic inspired" music.

We are active in our temple's fundraising, especially those events supporting our fraternal philanthropy of the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.

If you want to learn more about us, explore the information on this website or take a look at our events calendar and come meet us in person.  We really enjoy meeting the public and performing for large audiences.  In any event, we are bound to leave an impression upon you!
